Good Morning everyone!   Finding it hard to sleep these last few days before my surgery. I will be getting gastric bypass done with Dr. Currie as my surgeon in Harrisburg.  Im quit nervous but can't wait to start a new chapter in my life. Ive read so many success stories from all of you and can't wait to share mine! You all look so wonderful!

Good Morning Barb,

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.  It is an adventure. I found it very ard to sleep before my surgery .  I had a wave of different emotions running rampant.  All I kept thinking was am I doing the right thing, will it work, can I really do this.  Then I'd look at the reasons why I was doing it and knew it was the right thing.  Nerves.  I think its normal to feel anxious and nervous.
This is a big step.  You have faith in your decision and your DR.  Keep us posted to your progress.  Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery are ccoming your way and we are making room on the loosers bench.

It is going to be wonderful. You will be fine and a whole new life will begin for you.

Oh I remember the night before my surgery I could not sleep and I was freaking out calling my surgeon asking about the aspirin I'd taken (because I had thought my insurance had denied me, so I went back on my regimen) and the board about the aspirin....everything turned out fine.

Best wishes for your surgery and beyond. Take a deep breath and smile....it increases your face value!

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement.  I have all the fears everyone has pointed out before surgery.. I can't help but think about (not dwell) "what if something goes wrong" I hate that about me..lol  Up to this point I didn't poison my mind with internet searches about the risk other than what my surgeon and I discussed.. Its scary.. but what is more frightening is the long term effects of obesity , I suppose.. Thanks everyone..

Congrats on the surgery!   You are having very normal feelings.  I am a very upbeat joking person and I made jokes about croaking on the table.  But deep down that was really a concern for me.  Everything went well for me as I'm sure it will for you.  Keep us updated!
